Why We Do This Work

When your grandmother is lonely and turns to Facebook, only to get scammed by a lovebomber, you have to do something. That's what happened to our founder's grandma and why he started this company. Read more here.

My AI Companion was designed to protect older adults from the risks of social media, by providing natural phone conversations and friendly texts of companionship at times when they are feeling the effects of social isolation. Our mission is to reduce the feeling of loneliness and the clinical conditions related to social isolation in over 10 million older adults through their use of the My AI Companion product.

Who We Are

We are a team of entrepreneurs, technologists, scientists, researchers, product designers and engineers who have extensive experience building complex AI systems and digital health solutions.

The product was designed with a group of older adults who gave us feedback on their needs every step of the way and became an integral part of our user experience team. They told us that they didn't want to be forced to learn something new with every update, so we avoided building an app and leaned into technology they already use, like phone calls and texts.

Our science and medical teams are at the forefront of their fields, doing cutting edge research with veterans, dual eligible populations, and those who are at the highest risk for loneliness-related health issues.

Our safety protocols are designed and implemented by clinicians with years of experience working with high-risk populations and we are constantly validating our product through pilot studies. Learn more about our research.

Our Safety Promise to You

Our companions are designed to keep aging minds active and to help you make the most of every day, but they will not give you medical advice, encourage a romantic relationship, or pretend to be human. We are aware of their limitations and, while they act as a safety net, they are programmed to direct you to contact emergency response services when necessary. We commit to maintaining a highly reliable product, escalating responsibly, and keeping you in control of what data we collect and how it is used.
